The pediatric dentist has an extra two to three years of specialized training after dental school, and is dedicated to the oral health of children from infancy through the teenage years. The very young, pre-teens, and teenagers all need different approaches in dealing with their behavior, guiding their dental growth and development, and helping them avoid future dental problems. The pediatric dentist is best qualified to meet these needs.
Dr. Danielle Gilbert-Fowler is excited to become Ridgecrest’s first Pediatric Dentist! With two years of additional post-doctorate training in the field of pediatric dentistry, she offers specialized dental care for children of all ages, infancy through 18 years of age. Dr. Dani, as she’s known to her patients, is committed to providing quality dental care in the most compassionate, fun manner possible!
Dr. Dani grew up in Reno, Nevada where she received her undergraduate degree in Speech Pathology from the University of Nevada, Reno graduating Magna Cum Laude. Dr. Dani graduated from Oregon Health & Sciences University with a Doctorate of Dental Medicine in 2007 and proceeded to practice general dentistry for five years. During this time she discovered a love for working with children and decided to pursue specialty training in Pediatric Dentistry at Lutheran Medical Center’s Pediatric Residency in Yakima, Washington. After graduating from Pediatric Dental Residency in 2014, she worked in a private pediatric dental practice in Washington prior to moving back to her husband’s hometown of Ridgecrest.
While she grew up in Reno some of Dr. Dani’s favorite memories consist of spending time visiting family in Mammoth Lakes and Burbank, California. Hence, she grew up getting to know the Eastern Sierras and the 395 corridor very well on family car trips. Her husband, Dr. David Fowler, D.C, was born and raised in Ridgecrest. Now with two children of their own, they are excited to call Ridgecrest home!
